We are currently seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Intensive Care Step-Down Unit at a hospital in Sanford, FL. As a Registered Nurse in the ICU Step-Down Unit, you will be responsible for providing specialized nursing care to patients who are transitioning from the intensive care unit to a lower level of care.

You will work closely with a team of healthcare professionals to monitor and assess patients  conditions, administer medications, and provide support and education to patients and their families.

• Monitor and assess patients  vital signs, lab results, and overall condition
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician
• Communicate with physicians and other healthcare team members to provide updates on patients  conditions
• Educate patients and their families about their care plan and any necessary lifestyle changes
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families
• Document all patient care and interactions accurately and thoroughly
• Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations

• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Florida
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an intensive care or step-down unit
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced and high-stress environment
• Flexibility to work day, night, and weekend shifts as needed
• Ability to lift and move patients and equipment as necessary
