Overview
The Associate is responsible for completing in-store food and non-food demonstrations, acquiring and maintaining knowledge of products represented, preparing, serving, and breaking down product, equipment, and supplies. Interacts with consumers and demonstrates products in a professional manner. Maintains an overall professional appearance consistent with the requirements of the job.
Responsibilities- Possesses the aptitude and ability to gain adequate knowledge of the products represented.
- Desire and ability to proactively intercept, engage, interact, and sell product to the consumer in a positive manner.
- Effectively communicate the features and benefits of the product.
- Prepare and serve food samples using small appliances such as microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers and knives.
- Maintain a clean, sterile and safe workstation using cleaning chemicals.
- Maintain a professional appearance consistent with the requirements of the job.
- Set up and prepare the Event Table for execution.
- Achieve 100% execution on assigned work.
- Assist with preparation for client visits and complete audit corrections.
- Build and maintain rapport with store personnel to meet company and client objectives.
- Complete expense reports as per Company Policy.
- Accurately prepare and submit all online requirements on the same day as Event execution.
- Have the ability to access the internet, navigate company systems, use Microsoft Outlook, and view documents including Microsoft Word and Adobe PDF forms.
This role is not expected to exceed more than 25 hours per week, although the company maintains discretion to change the role based on business and/or client needs. This job description does not imply that the listed functions are the only tasks that may be performed; individuals may be asked to follow other job-related instructions and perform additional tasks as directed by management.
QualificationsEducation/Experience
High school diploma or GED; or one to three months’ related experience and/or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer SkillsProficient in using and navigating a personal computer or personal mobile device with applications and internal systems.
Certificates, Licenses, RegistrationsLocal Food handler permit may be required.
Physical DemandsThe associate will be regularly required to stand and walk; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms (including overhead up to 65 inches); talk and hear; read instructions; stoop, kneel, squat; climb or step up a ladder; balance; lift and carry up to 25 pounds (occasional lifting up to 50 pounds); push and pull a wheeled demonstration cart fully laden with appliances, supplies and product;
prepare foods and beverages using required appliances; be in contact with cleaning supplies.

Work EnvironmentRetail store environment with limited travel.
Physical AppearanceMaintain a professional appearance and proper grooming. Specific retailer dress code requirements are included in training documents.
Language SkillsEnglish is the primary language; bilingual skills may be required based on business necessity.
