Cashier Part Time

Job Summary

Any weekday between 1pm and 9pm and on weekends. Process member purchases, verify, renew, upgrade memberships, scan merchandise, accept payments, and maintain the cleanliness of the front‑line department.

• Process member purchases in a courteous and friendly manner, including verifying, renewing, upgrading, and offering membership products.
• Scan merchandise and ensure accurate inventory counts and purchase totals.
• Accept cash, check, or other charge payments, issue receipts, and provide change.
• Manage self‑checkout lanes, assist members with scanning and payment, and resolve technical difficulties.
• Scan and redeem coupons, maintain the accuracy of promotions and product information.
• Assist with general club housekeeping, including filling shopping carts and returning resellable merchandise to the sales floor.
• Maintain the overall cleanliness of the front‑line area and ensure a safe and positive environment for members and team members.
• Meet cashier productivity expectations and perform other duties as assigned, including working in other departments when needed.
• Work as a team to achieve goals, move with speed and agility, and innovate and adapt to changing demands.

• Basic math skills preferred.
• Prior cashier or sales experience preferred.
• Strong customer service orientation and ability to deescalate member concerns.

• Frequent movement on hard surfaces, bending, pulling, reaching, and stooping.
• Requires lifting objects up to 30 pounds; may require lifting heavier items with assistance.
• Indoor environment with infrequent exposure to temperature extremes and loud noises.
• Occasional exposure to cleaning agents.
