Position OverviewThe Field Service Technician – Irrigation & Control Systems provides installation service to customers for a select group of products sold by Site One within a specific region. Products include central irrigation control systems, prefabricated pump stations, satellite/controller assemblies, solar power systems, fertilizer injection, and filtration systems.
What You’ll Do- Professionally represent Site One and its products to end users, ensuring best‑in‑class delivery and installation.
- Provide expert knowledge to associates and customers on proper and safe operation, maintenance, and warranty policies.
- Communicate effectively with teammates, managers, branch associates, line of business specialists, sales team members, and customers in both verbal and written communications.
- Complete documentation on work performed, including labor and parts, and send invoices for customer service and repair jobs using the Site One POS system.
- Conduct pre‑construction meetings and product demonstrations as needed.
- Travel locally within your territory as required.
- 3+ years of installation or field troubleshooting experience with central control irrigation systems or pump assemblies.
- Knowledge of project management, including scheduling and supervision of subcontractors.
- Experience operating the necessary tools and equipment, including hand tools, mini‑excavators, and mobile cranes.
- Knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC) and safe work practices around pump control panels.
- Manufacturer/Technical Trade certifications preferred; otherwise equivalent relevant experience is acceptable.
