AC Start Up & Warranty Tech

Job Summary

As the AC Start Up & Warranty Tech, you will work with customers to ensure they receive appropriate warranty and product service options, conduct final stage checks, apply corrections, manage warranty processes, and coordinate scheduled calls.

• Troubleshoot single- and three‑phase installations.
• Verify proper installation of heating and cooling equipment, confirming correct operation of cooling and heating systems, including drain lines and coils.
• Diagnose and correct malfunctioning systems and components using test equipment and hand tools.
• Assess customer needs and offer relevant products and services.
• Create and maintain a database of all leads from retail, new construction, and product registration.
• Provide continuous feedback on competition and market position.
• Build strong relationships with vendor partners to access the most up‑to‑date information.
• Handle product registration for retail and new construction installations.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum one year of residential field experience.
• Two years of experience in start‑up, repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting diverse HVAC service issues.
• Experience with retrofit and new‑construction HVAC installations.
• EPA certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and clean motor‑vehicle record.
• Ability to pass a drug screen.
• Must have reliable HVAC tools.

• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times.
• Must be able to access attics and other confined spaces.
• Will work on call schedules, including long hours.
