Plumbing Residential Installer

Overview

Job Summary:

The Residential Installation Plumber is responsible for installation and inspection of tub sets and trims, maintenance of water distribution and sanitary plumbing systems. Interprets blueprints to adhere to building specifications.

• Installation and maintenance of plumbing systems (water distribution and sanitary systems).
• Inspect drainage and other plumbing systems for compliance with local and national regulations.
• Interpret blueprints and building specifications for installation of drainage systems and water distribution, as well as other plumbing materials.
• Use necessary tools and equipment such as saws and cutters to perform plumbing installs and repairs.
• Measure and modify pipes by cutting, threading, or bending using specialized tools.
• Repair and replace damaged parts.
• Train new apprentices in proper plumbing techniques and practices.
• Test plumbing and other installed fixtures to ensure proper functioning.
• Follow state laws and regulations and adhere to local building codes.

• Extensive knowledge of plumbing installations and repair of plumbing systems.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Maintain truck neatly and with a complete inventory.
• Excellent mechanical skills.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3 years plumbing experience.
• Current driver’s license and clean driving record required.

• Able to climb and work off ladders.
• Physically able to work with tools and equipment.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
