Parent COUNSELOR

Aspire Health Partners is dedicated to serving the Central Florida community by providing a compassionate and comprehensive response to the needs of our clients across mental health, substance abuse, and support for the homeless. We are currently looking for a skilled Parent Counselor who shares our passion for making a difference. In this role, the successful candidate will help parents cope with the complexities of raising children in challenging environments.

This position is pivotal for enabling parents to enhance their parenting skills and strengthen their family dynamics.

Responsibilities

• Conduct one-on-one counseling sessions and group workshops for parents and guardians.
• Develop tailored intervention plans to address specific family needs and situations.
• Collaborate with other social service providers to refer families to additional resources when necessary.
• Maintain detailed records of client interactions and track progress over time.
• Facilitate communication and understanding between parents and children within families.
• Provide crisis intervention as needed and develop preventive strategies to handle potential future issues.

Required Skills

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience with case management software and client databases.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion.
• Proven ability to develop and facilitate workshops and group activities.
• Knowledge of child development, family systems, and behavioral strategies.
