The Child Advocate Manager is a full-time OPS position with the Statewide Guardian ad Litem Office serving the 18th Circuit in Seminole County. This role provides child welfare professional services on a multidisciplinary team representing abused, abandoned, and neglected children in dependency court proceedings, overseeing volunteer advocates and collaborating with courts, DCF, and other agencies. The position involves case management, court preparation and testimony, child and family contact, and volunteer supervision.
Keyqualifications:
- Valid Florida Driver's License required
- Bachelor's degree in sociology, social work, psychology, child development, education, juvenile justice, or related social science preferred (or equivalent experience)
- Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to coach, instruct and motivate volunteers
- Knowledge of child abuse dynamics, domestic violence, substance abuse, and mental health
- Knowledge of Florida Statutes relating to child welfare and protection
