Temporary Energy Services Specialist
York County Community Action Corporation (YCCAC) is seeking a Temporary Energy Services Specialist to support our Economic Opportunity & Housing Stability team during the busy heating assistance season. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys helping people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is committed to providing outstanding customer service.
As a Specialist, you will provide front-line support to individuals applying for energy assistance programs, including HEAP, ECIP, and AMP.
Responsibilities include:
- Welcome and assist clients in person, by phone, voicemail, and electronically.
- Conduct client intake interviews and assist with applications and required documentation.
- Explain program requirements, timelines, and next steps.
- Review applications for completeness and follow up on missing information.
- Enter and update client information accurately in agency and state databases.
Successful candidates will have:
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Great attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and treating all applicants with dignity and respect.
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One year of customer service, administrative support, reception, intake, records management, eligibility support, or related experience preferred.
- Must not have an active exclusion or debarment record in the federal System for Award Management (SAM).
