Ed Tech I Position at Margaret Chase Smith Elementary

Margaret Chase Smith Elementary (MCS) is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and student-centered Ed Tech I to support a PreK student with an individualized medical plan during the  school year. The successful candidate will work closely with the classroom teacher and school nurse to ensure the student's medical, academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs are safely and effectively supported throughout the school day.

Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one support to a PreK student in accordance with the student's individualized medical plan.
• Implement medical accommodations as directed by the school nurse and following district protocols and required training.
• Support the student's participation in classroom instruction, routines, transitions, and inclusive activities.
• Foster independence while maintaining student safety.
• Collect data and maintain accurate documentation as directed.
• Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism at all times.

Qualifications:

• Maine Educational Technician I Authorization (or eligibility).
• Previous medical experience preferred.
• Ability to follow individualized medical plans and participate in required medical and safety training.
• Experience working with young children.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• A positive, flexible, and student-centered approach to supporting learners.
