Sanford Middle School is seeking qualified candidates for a full-time English/Language Arts Interventionist position. This position will primarily support students in Grades 5 and 6.

The ELA Interventionist will play a critical role in supporting student literacy development through targeted instruction and collaboration with staff. This position is an integral part of the school's Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 literacy interventions for students
• Deliver push-in classroom support in collaboration with classroom teachers
• Actively participate in and help facilitate the MTSS process and team meetings
• Support instructional coaching efforts
  , including modeling effective literacy instruction
• Assist in facilitating professional development opportunities for staff as appropriate
• Collaborate positively and effectively with teachers, staff, and families

Qualifications:

• Appropriate teaching certification required
• Experience working with middle school students
  , preferably in grades 5–6
• Strong understanding of literacy instruction, intervention strategies, and differentiated instruction
• Ability to build strong relationships with students and staff
• Demonstrates patience, kindness, and compassion
• Commitment to collaboration and continuous improvement
