Process Engineer – Advance Your Career with an Industry Leader

We're hiring a Process Engineer for our client in Sanford! This is an exciting opportunity to join an industry pioneer offering outstanding benefits starting day one and long-term career growth. This position pays $70–75K and is a direct-hire placement. This is a hands-on engineering role where you'll directly impact manufacturing processes, lead continuous improvement initiatives, and work cross-functionally to optimize production and quality.

Typical Daily Duties:

  • Develop work instructions, visual aids, and process documentation to maintain production and quality standards
  • Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean tools (5S, SMED, value stream mapping, etc.)
  • Analyze workflows, perform time studies, and provide cost and efficiency improvements
  • Assist with equipment setup, installation, and process validation
  • Train supervisors and team members on new processes or product changes
  • Support safety initiatives and ensure compliance with plant standards
  • Maintain production data, routings, and Bills of Operations
  • Coordinate TPM and preventive maintenance activities

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • At least 1 year of experience in a process engineering or process improvement role within manufacturing
  • Strong understanding of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement tools
  • Hands-on, mechanically inclined, and detail-oriented
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and communicate effectively across all levels
