Heavy Duty Metal Container Assemblers – Industrial Setting Pay: $20.00 per hour

Monday–Friday, 6:50 AM – 3:10 PM Status:
Temporary – Approximately 2 Months
Our client in Sanford has an immediate need for a Heavy Duty Metal Container Assembler to support a well-established manufacturing operation on the day shift. This position pays $20 per hour and is a temporary assignment expected to last approximately 2 months. This is a great opportunity for a mechanically inclined individual who enjoys working with their hands and has experience using tools such as power drills, screwdrivers, hammers, tape measures, and other hand and power tools.
You’ll be part of a production team assembling large metal containers while maintaining quality, safety, and production standards.
- -Assemble mechanical components using hand and power tools
- -Follow blueprints, work instructions, and shop orders
- -Perform basic testing and inspections (leak checks, airflow, quality)
- -Work on a production line and meet set cycle times
- -Cross‑train and support multiple assembly areas as needed
- -Follow safety and quality standards
This is fast‑paced, physical work performed on your feet in an industrial workshop setting.
Ideal candidates are described as:- -Dependable with a demonstrated history of staying in roles 2+ years with a strong attendance record
- -Mechanically inclined from prior work or regular hands‑on hobbies (manufacturing, automotive, fabrication, construction, industrial maintenance)
- -Confident communicators that are able to clearly share their experience and accept performance feedback
- -Takes pride in doing things right the first time
- -Are comfortable being held to production time expectations while maintaining safety and quality standards
- -High School Diploma, GED/HiSET or equivalent (minimum)
- -Industrial or mechanical assembly experience (electrical sub‑assembly a plus)
- -Strong attention to detail and basic problem‑solving/troubleshooting skills
- -Ability to perform basic math (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
- -Ability to pass a drug screen, and physical
- -Physical includes vision, hearing, and lift testing
Important:
This is an industrial manufacturing line role with physical demands and time standards. If you are looking for light-duty, bench-style assembly work this may not be the right fit for you.
