Pinnacle Health and Rehab at Sanford is searching for caring and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant Medications (CNA-M) as well as Certified Nursing Assistants.
CNA-M Duties- Provide compassionate care and advocate for residents, respecting their needs.
- Administer routine oral medications following universal precautions; PRN medications after assessment by a licensed nurse.
- Record medications and relevant information.
- Maintain medication room and cart clean, orderly, and adequately stocked at all times, securing when not in use.
- Take and record vital signs (TPR, B/P, apical pulse when appropriate).
- Perform all other duties as assigned by a licensed nurse and/or supervisor.
- Assist resident with all daily personal care including bathing, dressing, beauty care, hair care, shaving, nail trimming and dental hygiene offering privacy in a dignified manner maintaining proper universal precautions at all times.
- Transfer residents to and from bed to chair using proper transfer technique 1-2 assist, use of gait belt, stand lift or hoyer lift.
- Assist at mealtime; transport residents to and from dining area, check diet trays with diet orders, serve trays, help feed residents, remove trays and serve food and beverages at snack times.
- Chart accurate information on forms as instructed, treating all resident information with confidentiality.
- Report any observations of residents regarding physical and emotional condition to the licensed nurse immediately.
- Work cooperatively with co-workers and other departments, being compassionate and empathetic of co-workers needs.

OR
- Successful completion of an educational program approved by the Maine State Board of Nursing and current CNA-M certificate.
