Registered Nurse

Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical.

Location:

Central Maine Medical Center, Lewiston, ME.

Shift: Full-time nights 7p‑7a 12‑hour shifts.

Residency Program: We welcome new graduate RNs and offer a structured residency program, hands‑on training, and dedicated preceptor support to build confidence and clinical skills. Opportunities for career growth, skills training, and ongoing education.

• Deliver direct patient care for assigned medical‑surgical patients.
• Perform ongoing assessments and monitor patient condition and response to treatment.
• Communicate changes in condition, diagnostic results, and symptomatology to physicians.
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments per orders.
• Provide patient and family education and guide nursing support staff.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient status.
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with patient safety, HIPAA, and regulatory standards.

• Current and valid state RN license.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintained thereafter.
• Current ACLS certificate within 30 days upon hire (preferred).
• Previous acute‑care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator management experience preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
