Maine Health OBGYN with Stephens Hospital in Norway, Maine, is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Professional with women’s health experience – Nurse Practitioner (NP), Physician Associate (PA), or Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) to join our OB/GYN practice. Help support our busy outpatient OB/GYN practice under the supervision of covering OB/GYN physicians. This provider will manage a broad range of women’s health issues including prenatal and postnatal OB care.
The position focuses on outpatient care of obstetrical patients and may include gynecological care, deliveries, or support for surgical procedures based on the candidate’s interest and experience.
The candidate is expected to have completed an accredited nurse midwifery, nurse practitioner, or physician associate program and have two or more years of applicable women’s health experience. A successful candidate will have excellent clinical skills and knowledge of low-risk pregnancy, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment within a busy OB/GYN practice.

- Education: BSN/MSN and successful completion of a nurse midwifery program accredited by the ACNM or successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner or Physician Associate program.
- License/
Certifications:
Current license and registration to practice as a Registered Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant or Certified Nurse Midwife as required in the State of Maine. Current BLS certification. - Certifications: NRP, BLS, and surgical first assistant certifications required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of labor & delivery and office experience required; CNM experience is preferred.
- Clinical
Skills:
Competency with IUD insertion and office ultrasound required;
Nexplanon insertion desired. - Pregnancy Care: Comfort with moderate-to-high risk pregnancies.
- Collaboration: Collaborative approach to patient care including working with OB/GYNs and all levels of clinical team.
