Pinnacle Health and Rehab at Sanford is searching for caring and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant Medications (CNA-M) as well as Certified Nursing Assistants.
EssentialJob Duties of a CNA-M
- Provide compassionate care and advocate for residents while remaining respectful and empathetic of their needs.
- Administer routine oral medications following universal precautions and PRN medications only after assessment by a licensed nurse.
- Record medications and any pertinent information related to them.
- Keep medication room and cart clean, orderly, and adequately stocked at all times, and secure when not in use.
- Take and record vital signs (TPR, BP, apical pulse when appropriate).
- All other duties as assigned/required by licensed nurse and/or supervisor.
Job Duties of CNA
- Assist residents with all daily personal care including bathing, dressing, beauty care, hair care, shaving, nail trimming and dental hygiene, offering privacy and dignity while maintaining proper universal precautions.
- Transfer residents to and from bed to chair using proper transfer technique (1-2 assist, gait belt, stand lift or Hoyer lift).
- Assist at mealtime: transport residents to and from the dining area, check diet trays with diet orders, serve trays, help feed residents, and remove trays; serve food and beverages at snack times.
- Chart accurate information on forms as instructed, treating all resident information with confidentiality.
- Report any observations of residents regarding physical and emotional condition to the licensed nurse immediately.
- Work cooperatively with co-workers and other departments, being compassionate and empathetic of co-workers needs.
