Maintenance Mechanic
Location:
Sanford, NC
Wage: $30 DOE
Schedule:
Monday‑Friday 6:00 am – 2:30 pm. Some overtime and occasional weekend work.
- Perform preventative maintenance, conduct inspections, troubleshoot, diagnose failures & deficiencies, and perform necessary corrections.
- Maintain all service, parts, and inventory records in a timely and accurate manner.
- Complete and maintain daily checklists required for proper operation of maintenance tasks.
- Ensure daily maintenance duties are performed and communication of any problems or issues with the unit upon discovery.
- Follow LOTO safety protocol at all times.
- Review all applicable SOPs and complete all mandatory company and job‑specific training.
- Submit all required paperwork for tracking preventive maintenance schedules.
- Conduct safety checks and annual inspections.
- Fabricate, weld, modify, and install pumping & piping equipment.
- Ensure work meets all applicable Health and Safety Standard Operating Procedures.
- Maintain compliance with area‑specific permit requirements.
- Maintain a clean work environment and drive compliance to Clean Compliance Standards.
- Perform other assignments as assigned by management.
- Perform maintenance functions including, but not limited to, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical.
- Maintain facility equipment through a Preventative Maintenance Management system.
- Operate a forklift and various heavy equipment, when necessary, to assist in diagnosis.
- Assemble components and parts as required by manufacturers.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable Health and Safety Standard Operating Procedures.
- 3–5 years of maintenance experience in an industrial environment preferred.
- Familiarity with pressure, temperature, flow, and level instrumentation; distillation stills, evaporating equipment, cooling towers, pumps, and boilers a plus.
- Knowledge of piping systems and fluid dynamics.
- Ability to meet physical demands of the position and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Confined space and allowed confined space certification.
- Ability to be fitted for and work wearing a full‑face respirator.
- Clean‑shaven appearance.
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions and stand for long periods of time.
