Alliance Biotech Solutions LLC seeks an Automation Commissioning Engineer to join our Colorado-based team supporting biotech and environmental health projects. In this hands-on role, you will commission, program, and troubleshoot PLC/SCADA and building or process control systems for laboratories, clean rooms, and industrial facilities. You will execute FAT/SAT, IO checkout, and startup; document and test control strategies; and support validation and compliance.
Working closely with scientists, engineers, and clients, you will help deliver reliable, compliant, and sustainable automation solutions while expanding your technical expertise.
Responsibilities
- Commission, program, and troubleshoot automation systems for biotech and environmental health facilities
- Execute FAT/SAT, IO checkout, and startup of PLC, SCADA, and building or process control systems
- Configure, test, and document control strategies, alarms, and data acquisition
- Support validation, IQ/OQ, and compliance with GMP/Gx
- P and relevant standards
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to define requirements and solutions
- Analyze system performance and implement corrective actions or optimizations
- Prepare technical reports, test protocols, and as-built documentation
- Train client personnel on system operation and basic troubleshooting
- Adhere to company safety, quality, and documentation procedures
- Support continuous improvement of automation standards, templates, and best practices
Required Skills
- PLC programming (e.g., ladder logic, function block)
- SCADA/HMI configuration and deployment
- Commissioning and startup of automation systems
- FAT/SAT planning and execution
- Control system networking and industrial protocols (e.g., Modbus, Ethernet/IP)
- GMP/Gx
- P and validation support (IQ/OQ)
- Instrumentation and IO checkout
- Building management systems (BMS) or environmental monitoring systems (EMS)
- Technical documentation and test protocol writing
- Troubleshooting electrical and control system issues
