Responsibilities

Under direction of the DCQI/RM, is responsible for managing and coordinating the operations, functions, and objectives of the Clinical Quality/Risk Management Department. Responsible for ensuring that staff coordinates patient care activities to conform to evidence-based practices and regulatory requirements. Responsible for collaboration with physician and other healthcare disciplines to assure positive interdisciplinary workflow and service excellence. Assist DCQI/RM with coordinating all Joint Commission and Hospital Quality Council activities and make recommendations based on standards and best practices.

Assist with management of performance measurement and improvement activities designed to improve patient care and patient safety. Assist with implementation of Commitment to Quality objectives related to the Performance Improvement Program, Patient Safety & Risk Management Programs, and other pertinent hospital-wide program plans. Responsible for coordination of the medical staff peer review process.

• Must have training commensurate with RN licensure, and have current RN license in NC (or compact state).
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in performance improvement preferred.
• Experience in statistical concepts, data management, variance tracking and analysis.
• CPR according to CCH policy.
• Demonstrated ability in problem solving and excellent organizational / time management skills.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Performance Improvement principles and practices.
• Effective communication skills, both in oral presentation and writing.
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications.
• Working knowledge of regulatory standards and requirements TJC, CMS.
• Able to work on smoke-free campus.
