IT Support Specialist

Location:
Sanford, NC (approx. 45 min from Raleigh) On-site: 5 days/week Duration: 1-Year Contract Pay Rate: $32/hr
We are hiring an IT Support Specialist for a growing manufacturing facility in Sanford, NC. You'll be joining a small IT team supporting an expanding user base, with the opportunity for extension or conversion at the end of the contract term. Most team members commute from the Raleigh area (~45 min–1 hour).
Responsibilities- Provide Tier 2 Windows IT support across facility locations
- Set up laptops, build user profiles in Active Directory, and handle device replacements
- Manage and resolve tickets using Service Now
- Support users with application access and day-to-day IT issues
- Assist with Windows 10 to Windows 11 upgrades
- Hands-on experience with Windows OS and laptop/hardware support (IBM preferred)
- Active Directory administration
- Service Now ticketing experience (required)
- Windows 11 upgrade experience
- Strong communication and customer service skills — highly weighted by the hiring team
- Manufacturing environment experience a plus, not required
- 100% on-site, 5 days/week
- Sanford, NC — majority of team commutes from Raleigh area
- 1-year contract with potential for extension or conversion
- Two-round interview process (video + in-person)
