Robot Technician - 3rd Shift

Shift:
** Sunday night - Friday morning 10:15 PM - 6:15 AM, Overtime as business needs require  
** 3rd Shift Starting Pay:** $29.38/hour (includes 8% shift premium)

* Job Purpose:

** Under general supervision, responsible for the set-up, maintenance and operation of robotic welding equipment and other duties as assigned. Typically reports to a supervisor.

** As a Robot Technician at Caterpillar, you will:
*** Follow documented procedures standard work, routings, and blueprints to perform safe and defect free work and adjustment of components and machines.
* Follow and utilize CPS principles of 5S, Continuous Improvement Idea Reporting, Waste Elimination, and Standard Work.
* Keep work area in a clean and orderly condition.
* Be able to function as part of a team and be willing to be multi-trained.
* Be a contributing team member.
* Perform other related work duties as assigned.
* Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods.
* Ability to perform repetitive operations.
* Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
* Must include a resume to be considered.
* Requires a mechanical or electronic aptitude with a good working knowledge of fabrication and machining practices.
* Must have GMAW welding experience.
* Intermediate proficiency computer skill with experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
* Must have effective communication skills.
* Ability to read and interpret welding blueprints
* Complete understanding of welding defects and weld inspection tools
* Basic understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic fixtures.
