What this looks like:
* 1st shift:
Monday - Friday 6:15 am - 2:15 pm
* 1st shift starting pay: $26.75/hour

**** As a Welder 3 at Caterpillar, you will:
*** Uses various tools provided in the work area to perform welding duties including but not limited to manual MIG Welding
* Repair defective welds utilizing carbon air arc process, grinders, etc.
* Inspect own work including quality checks utilizing weld and attribute gages and other measuring tools.
* Use lifting devices to move heavy components of weights of more than 35 lbs.
* Complete routine maintenance (wire change, tip/nozzle change) in all qualified workstations.
* Rotate to various positions within the Job Function area to perform related activities.
* Follow documented procedures, standard work, routings, and blueprints to perform safe and defect-free operations
* Follow and utilizes CPS principles of 5S, Continuous Improvement Idea Reporting, Waste Elimination, and Standard Work
* Responsible for process and final inspections
* Function as part of a team, willing to be multi-trained and maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area.
** Physical Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation):
*** Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods
* Ability to perform repetitive operations
* Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
** Basic Requirements:
*** At least one year of welding experience
* At least one year of carbon air arc experience
** Top Candidates will also have:
*** Must be able to pass 2F fillet weld, 4F fillet weld (overhead) & 2G groove weld test.

** Summary Pay Range:**$26.75 - $33.45
