Overview

Licensed Practical Nurse on the Wound Care and Hyperbaric Center team at Central Carolina Hospital. The role focuses on wound care management and hyperbaric oxygen therapy, supporting patient assessments, treatments, and safety protocols to improve healing outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Accurately perform patient assessments and identify patient needs.
  • Identify and initiate appropriate nursing interventions.
  • Provide care appropriate to the condition and age of the patient.
  • Perform timely and appropriate documentation related to medical necessity in the medical record.
  • Assist RNs with patient care in the Wound Care Center when not participating in Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy treatments.
  • Support Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy treatments, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
  • Serve as Safety Coordinator for the Wound Care Center, promoting a culture of safety and compliance.
  • Complete and revise the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
Schedule

Monday-Thursday 7:30am – 4:30pm, Friday 7:30am – 1:00pm.

Qualifications

Applicants should have a current North Carolina state or compact state LPN license.

  • Graduate of an accredited LPN program.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • One year of clinical experience preferred (wound care or hyperbaric experience preferred).
  • Willingness to complete specialized training in Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy.
