Our Oncology unit specializes in the care of oncology patients, including hematology and bone marrow transplant. $20,000 sign‑on bonus available for eligible candidates.
SummaryThe Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation) to provide individualized nursing care to patients.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with inter‑professional colleagues, including physicians, to plan, implement, and evaluate care.
- Demonstrate competency and practice within the full scope of nursing expertise and utilize age‑and‑population‑specific standards in the assigned clinical setting.
- Care for patients in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment, and follow‑up as patients move along the continuum of care.
- Plan and coordinate care, perform patient assessment, educate patients, triage, and carry out various nursing interventions.
- Function within the scope and standards of nursing practice as outlined in the Nurse Practice Act, Administrative Rules, and state licensure requirements.
- Maintain required department‑specific competencies and certifications.
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program (AACN, ACEN, or NLN CNEA). Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred.
- Current, unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where practice occurs or possession of multistate licensure under the Nurse Licensure Compact.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required department specific competencies and certifications.
