SummaryResponsible for quality nursing care to assigned patients. Gather pertinent patient information and report to Medical Director. Administration of methadone and buprenorphine in accordance with medical director's orders. Initiate actions based on the priorities set by the treatment/stabilization plan and the medical regime as designated by the Medical Director. Assist the medical director in performing physicals. Be able to take accurate blood pressure and pulse rate measurements.
Participate in staff meetings and treatment team meetings providing feedback to staff and Medical Director. Participate in nursing meetings. Provide competent, safe, quality, professional care to each patient of the facility in accordance with current applicable Federal, State, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations. Provide information to clinical director regarding dosage history and attendance. Utilize knowledge of chemical dependency, detoxification and withdrawal symptoms during educational sessions.
- Takes information from patient at the time of intake and reports this information to Medical Director.
- Monitors the demeanor of the patient during induction to the medication and during all medication administrations.
- Completes assessments per medical director orders. Identifies and reports to medical director any critical incidents immediately.
- Identifies medical emergencies and calls 911 and administers CPR and First Aid as necessary.
- Observes urine drug screens.
- Records urine drug screen results in patient charts.
- Participates in screening of potential patients.
- Utilizes professional skills to assist medical director in crisis interventions and performing educational sessions to patients, providing HIV education, TB testing, Hepatitis Virus testing and information, RPRs, lab work, and monitoring the results of the urine drug screen testing with the clinical staff.
- Follows medical director's federal regulations in giving take‑home medication.
- Ensures that take‑home medication is safely stored in a locked box.
- Monitors narcotic inventory and reports any discrepancy to clinical director.
- Will participate in nursing after‑hours phone rotation.

Qualification Requirements- RN/LPN license required.
- Ability to work independently as well as with a team, maintain high level of professional ethics and confidentiality as outlined by Federal Law protecting substance abuse patients.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general medical lab results reports and documents.
- Ability to respond to regulatory agencies.
- Ability to accurately and effectively present information to Medical Director.
