Quality Control Chemist
We are seeking a Quality Control Chemist to join our biopharmaceutical client's Quality Control laboratory within a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical environment. This role involves analytical testing of raw materials and finished products to ensure quality and compliance, supporting a critical initiative at the facility. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with chromatography and analytical instrumentation, and enjoy working in a fast-paced lab setting.
Responsibilities- Perform analytical testing using HPLC/UPLC, GC, FTIR, and other analytical techniques as needed.
- Execute testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
- Troubleshoot instrumentation and resolve testing issues.
- Document results in accordance with GMP and data integrity standards.
- Review data for accuracy and completeness.
- Support laboratory operations and meet testing timelines.
- 3-5 years of quality control experience in a GMP pharmaceutical lab.
- 3-5 years of experience with HPLC, UV VIS, FTIR, and GC.
- Experience in lab equipment validation and familiarity with systems like LIMS or Empower.
- Strong understanding of GMP and quality standards.
Skills & Qualifications

- Ability to work independently in a lab-based environment.
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Good documentation and communication skills.
This is a laboratory-based role within a pharmaceutical manufacturing site. It requires standard hours with some flexibility based on testing needs, typically Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The position is fully on-site, providing a unique opportunity to support a critical lab expansion/renovation project.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Sanford, NC.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
