This role supports reactive and preventive maintenance, assists with repairs and installations, and helps maintain organized, well-stocked shop areas. You'll work closely with other departments and team members, tackle a variety of mechanical and basic electrical tasks, and play a key role in minimizing downtime.

We're currently seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to help keep our equipment, machinery, and facility operating safely and efficiently. This role is ideal for someone who is mechanically inclined, safety-focused, and eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

* Perform reactive and preventive maintenance on machinery and facility systems

* Diagnose issues, make repairs, and adjust machinery as needed

* Assist with dismantling equipment to repair or replace defective components

* Support installation of new plant equipment and perform installation tasks independently when able

* Assist with electrical projects and perform minor electrical repairs

* Maintain building systems, including lighting, ballasts, and elements

* Operate shop tools, equipment, and maintenance-related machinery within skill level

* Keep shop areas clean, organized, stocked, and inventoried

* Conduct preventive maintenance tasks safely and on schedule

* Assist other departments as needed

* Inspect and assist work performed by outside contractors

* Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

* Respond to assigned repairs, emergency maintenance, and preventive maintenance needs

Position Requirements

Qualifications:

* Mechanically inclined with strong problem-solving skills

* Basic knowledge of electrical systems, construction, and manufacturing equipment

* Broad understanding of mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems

* Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team

* Strong communication skills

* Organized with attention to detail

* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment with multiple priorities

* Industrial, electrical, or welding certifications and/or a technical or post-secondary degree are a plus.

Physical Requirements:

Heavy Lifting:
Frequently lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds.

Standing/Walking:
Frequent movement between storage areas and loading docks (up to 8-10 hours/day)

Physical Endurance:
Work in the warehouse and sometimes outdoors in various weather conditions, and frequently bend, twist, and reach overhead..

Additional Requirements:

* Must be 18 years or older

* Successful completion of pre-employment drug screening, background check, and health and physical evaluation.
