Caterpillar is seeking an Electrician Operator in Sanford, NC. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing electrical systems and automated equipment within a fast-paced industrial environment. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in electrical systems, and preventative maintenance, ensuring maximum equipment uptime and safety compliance.

This position plays a critical role in supporting production efficiency, continuous improvement initiatives, and operational excellence. You will work cross-functionally with engineering, maintenance, and production teams to deliver reliable and efficient plant operations and complete and or supervise  electrical projects and installations. ** What you can look forward to in this role:
*** Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, equipment, and fixtures in a manufacturing or industrial environment
* Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues related to PLCs, motors, drives, sensors, lights, fire systems and automated systems.
* Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on electrical and automated production equipment.
* Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to support repairs and installations
* Support equipment upgrades, modifications, and continuous improvement projects focused on efficiency and reliability
* Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA, NEC, and company safety standards and policies “LOTO and Arc Flash procedures”
* Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to minimize downtime and improve operational performance
* Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and documentation for all electrical work performed
* Assist in equipment startups, shutdowns, and commissioning activities
* Identify root causes of electrical failures and implement corrective actions
* This is a unique role that will require work hours that vary from a typical schedule. There will be times when the successful candidate will be required to support activities and installations during weekends, holidays, and plant shutdowns.

*** Electrician Services:
Knowledge of electrical power, lighting and control systems; ability to plan and perform electrical work for buildings, infrastructures, and equipment.
* Technical Troubleshooting:
Knowledge of technical troubleshooting approaches, tools, and techniques; ability to anticipate, recognize, and resolve technical issues on hardware, software, application, or operation.
* Effective Communications:
Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
* Problem Solving:
Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
