Staff Accountant

Overview

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Staff Accountant with experience in general ledger accounting
. This role is responsible for performing complex accounting and analytical work related to vendor rebate income, monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.

• Perform monthly rebate calculations
  , accruals, and journal entries in accordance with company policy and accounting standards.
• Maintain and update the vendor rebate database ensuring all program terms, rates, and eligibility details are accurately recorded.
• Review and reconcile large volumes of purchasing and rebate data to ensure income recognition is accurate and complete.
• Support the month-end close process
  , including GL reconciliations, variance analysis, and reporting of rebate-related accounts.
• Assist with monthly rebate margin reviews by product line, providing analytical support and identifying trends or anomalies.
• Prepare audit schedules and support internal and external audit requests related to rebates and general accounting.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance
  , or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of accounting experience.
• Strong accounting fundamentals.
• Strong Excel skills, working with larger data sets.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
