Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Staff Accountant with experience in general ledger accounting. This role is responsible for performing complex accounting and analytical work related to vendor rebate income, monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities- Perform monthly rebate calculations
, accruals, and journal entries in accordance with company policy and accounting standards. - Maintain and update the vendor rebate database ensuring all program terms, rates, and eligibility details are accurately recorded.
- Review and reconcile large volumes of purchasing and rebate data to ensure income recognition is accurate and complete.
- Support the month-end close process
, including GL reconciliations, variance analysis, and reporting of rebate-related accounts. - Assist with monthly rebate margin reviews by product line, providing analytical support and identifying trends or anomalies.
- Partner with Procurement, Finance, and IT teams to improve rebate tracking, data integrity, and reporting capabilities.
- Participate in the development and automation of reporting tools and dashboards to streamline financial analysis.
- Prepare audit schedules and support internal and external audit requests related to rebates and general accounting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance
, or a related field. - Minimum 1 year of accounting experience
. - Strong Accounting fundamentals
- Strong Excel Skills, working with larger data sets
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
