Staff Accountant

Position Summary

A Staff Accountant with strong Japanese–English bilingual skills is being sought to support the accounting functions of a global organization. This role contributes to the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of financial operations by assisting with daily accounting tasks and participating in monthly and annual closing processes. Additionally, the position plays a part in maintaining internal controls and supporting efforts to ensure proper financial governance within the organization.

• Record accounts receivable and accounts payable entries and process vendor payments
• Assist with fixed asset tracking and depreciation calculations
• Perform reconciliations for bank accounts and balance sheet accounts, resolving discrepancies
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities and prepare related schedules
• Review financial data for accuracy and correct entry errors
• Contribute to internal control procedures and asset safeguarding
• Prepare reports and analyses using Google Workspace and Microsoft Office tools

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 3+ years of accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and relevant regulations
• Business-level speaking and writing skills in Japanese
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines
• Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office
• Experience working in or with Japanese companies is preferred

SALARY USD $ 60,000–$75,000
