Senior Accountant

Irvine, CA (Onsite) | $65,000–$80,000

An established nonprofit organization in Irvine is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious accounting professional looking to take ownership of the accounting function and grow into future leadership opportunities. Nonprofit experience is a plus but not required.

• Own the month-end and year-end close process
• Prepare and post journal entries
• Reconcile bank accounts and balance sheet accounts
• Review payroll processing and payroll-related journal entries
• Manage fixed assets and general ledger activity
• Prepare audit and tax schedules
• Assist with payroll funding and regulatory filings
• Identify process improvements and support accounting operations

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3+ years of accounting experience, including full-cycle accounting
• Strong month-end close and reconciliation experience
• Experience reviewing payroll preferred
• Proficiency in Excel;
  Great Plains (GP) experience a plus
• Self-starter with a take-charge attitude, strong attention to detail, and pride in their work

$65,000–$80,000 annually. Actual compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and other factors permitted by law.
