Staff Accountant

We are partnering with a well-established company seeking a Staff Accountant with strong financial accounting and reporting experience. This role is ideal for an accounting professional who has hands-on experience preparing and analyzing financial statements, managing the general ledger, completing month-end close, and providing accurate financial reporting to support business decisions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and GAAP, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to take ownership of key accounting and financial processes.

Key Responsibilities Prepare, analyze, and maintain accurate financial statements and financial reports Manage general ledger activities and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data Perform month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries and accruals Prepare and analyze account reconciliations and investigate variances Analyze financial results and provide insight into financial trends and discrepancies Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities Prepare financial reports and supporting schedules for management review Monitor and analyze financial data to identify opportunities, risks, and areas for improvement Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed Assist with audits and other accounting and financial projects Help maintain strong accounting controls and accurate financial records Qualifications 3+ years of accounting experience with strong financial reporting and analysis responsibilities Experience preparing and analyzing financial statements Strong general ledger and month-end close experience Solid understanding of GAAP and accounting principles Strong experience with reconciliations, journal entries, and accruals

Experience with budgeting, forecasting, or financial analysis Advanced Excel skills

Experience with Quick Books Desktop or similar accounting software Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Ability to analyze financial information and communicate findings effectively Salary: $62,000–$75,000 per year DOE KPG
