Vice President Accounting

Compensation: $180,000–$220,000 Base + Bonus

Based in Orange County, CA, we are a $1B+ multi-location distribution organization known for its client-focused approach collaborative culture and commitment to delivering practical results. The accounting organization is expanding and seeking an experienced VP of Accounting to lead its accounting function through its next stage of growth. This role is ideal for an accounting-first executive who brings deep technical accounting expertise operational discipline and experience building scalable accounting processes within a complex multi-location environment.

• Lead the company's accounting organization including general accounting close consolidations financial reporting and compliance while owning the monthly quarterly and annual close processes and ensuring accurate financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP with accuracy and efficiency
• Strengthen accounting policies procedures internal controls and governance while overseeing accounting across a multi-location operating environment and providing leadership around inventory operational and distribution accounting
• Lead external audit activities and manage auditor relationships while improving and automating accounting processes and supporting ERP optimization implementation and finance transformation initiatives to support continued organizational growth
• Recruit develop mentor and lead a high-performing accounting team while partnering with senior leadership on business performance and strategic initiatives and collaborating across finance operations sales supply chain and other functions on M&A integration treasury budgeting forecasting and strategic finance matters

• 15+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience with significant leadership experience as a VP of Accounting Corporate Controller CAO Division Controller or similar senior accounting executive; CPA preferred with Big 4 or other public accounting experience strongly preferred
• Strong technical accounting and U.S. GAAP knowledge with demonstrated ownership of financial reporting close consolidations controls and audits and experience leading accounting within a large complex multi-location organization in the $500M to $1B+ revenue range
• Strong organizational communication and time management skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced high-volume environment
• Background in distribution electrical distribution industrial manufacturing building products or CPG strongly preferred with strong ERP and accounting systems experience and proven ability to build teams improve processes scale accounting operations and modernize through automation AI-enabled tools and advanced analytics
