Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Lead Accountant to assist their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $50.00 to $55.00 per hour.

• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial analyses to support accurate accounting records.

• Maintain general ledger activity and assist with month end close processes to ensure timely financial reporting.

• Analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts and investigate variances or discrepancies as needed.

• Support audit and tax preparation activities by creating schedules, work papers, and supporting documentation.

• Lead or participate in process improvement initiatives, system enhancements, and special accounting projects.

• A Bachelor degree in accounting or a related field.

• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience with increasing levels of responsibility.

• Demonstrate strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting processes.

• Possess advanced Excel skills and experience working with accounting software and financial systems.

• Maintain the ability to work independently in a fast paced environment while managing multiple priorities.

• Apply strong analytical and problem solving skills to evaluate financial data and resolve accounting issues.

• Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail when preparing reports, reconciliations, and accounting entries.

• Communicate effectively with finance teams, operational departments, and organizational leadership.

• Adapt quickly to changing priorities while maintaining accuracy, professionalism, and accountability.

• Bring professional certification, advanced business education, or experience with enterprise accounting platforms considered beneficial.
