The Project Accountant is a full-time, on-site position based in Santa Ana, CA, supporting project teams with accurate and timely financial management for construction projects.
Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing owner billings and processing subcontractor billings and payments. The role involves monitoring contract compliance, assisting with change order documentation, and reconciling project accounts to ensure alignment with company standards and client requirements.
The Project Accountant works closely with project managers and administrative staff to support project financial operations, maintain organized project records, and assist with audits and other accounting-related activities.
Qualifications- Demonstrated experience in construction project accounting, including AIA owner billings, subcontractor invoice processing, and contract compliance.
- Experience with construction accounting software and ERP systems;
Sage 300 experience highly desired
. - Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other standard office applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy in financial and numerical work.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with project managers, clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
