About the PositionBirch Agency is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join a school-based team in Santa Ana, CA
. This role involves supporting students with diverse learning needs while collaborating with educators and families to ensure academic and social-emotional success.
- Provide specialized instruction to students with varying disabilities
- Develop and implement IEPs according to district and state guidelines
- Adapt curriculum and modify instructional strategies to meet students needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and school administrators
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress monitoring
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and team planning sessions
- Support classroom behavior plans and positive behavior interventions
- Valid California Education Specialist Credential (Mild/Moderate, Moderate/Severe, or equivalent)
- Previous school-based teaching experience preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Ability to support students with diverse academic and behavioral needs
- Competitive hourly pay starting at $45/hr
