Rancho Santiago Community College District (RSCCD) is one of the most established districts in the state and has been in operation fornecearly 50 years. Located in the heart of Orange County, it is oneof the largest of California's 72 community college districts,based on the number of credit and non-credit students. RSCCDencompasses 25 percent of Orange County's total area and serves apopulation of more than 700,000 residents in the communities of Anaheim Hills, Orange, Santa Ana, Villa Park, and portions of Anaheim, Costa Mesa, Irvine, Fountain Valley, Garden Grove, Tustin,and Yorba Linda.

The district includes Santiago Canyon College and Santa Ana College, as well as the Centennial and Orange Continuing Education Centers, the Digital Media Center, the Joint Powers Fire Training Center, the Orange County Sheriff's Regional Training Academy, the College and Workforce Preparation Center, and the District Operations Center. RSCCD's three (3) auxiliary Foundations are actively involved in supporting both community and campus programs.

About the Position

The ideal candidate will demonstrate cultural competency in serving diverse community college student populations, including those withdiffering abilities, AB 540 students, DACA recipients, Foreign Residents, VACA participants, Dual Enrollment, and Continuing Education students. They will support RSCCD's mission to promote self-awareness, knowledge, and communication skills, enablingstudents to participate creatively and confidently in anever-changing world.

Candidates should show sensitivity to diverse learning needs and acommitment to equity and anti-racism. They will help empower students to achieve their educational and career goals while fostering creativity, confidence, and lifelong learning.

Program Description

The Health and Wellness Center is committed to supporting student success by recognizing that overall wellness is integral to academic achievement. The Center provides comprehensive physical and mental health services to the college community in aconfidential setting, with sensitivity to individual needs. Services include high-quality clinical care, innovative health and wellness programs, and referrals to low-cost providers in the surrounding area, all delivered in a caring, cost-effective, and convenient manner.

Currently enrolled full-time and part-time SAC and SCE students are eligible for services, most of which are offered at no cost. Anominal fee may apply for certain laboratory tests, prescribed medications, and select medical procedures. Psychological Services include short-term brief therapy, crisis intervention, prevention,wellness programming, and referrals to community resources whenlonger-term or specialized care is indicated. Students may be eligible for up to 10 sessions per academic year, depending on clinical need.

Services are available in person and viaHIPAA-compliant Tele Health (Zoom) to increase accessibility, reduce barriers, and minimize stigma.

General Responsibilities

Provide consultation, support, crisis intervention, and briefpsychological counseling to students whose mental or emotionalconcerns interfere with success in college. Provide outreach services to the campus community. Provide referral services to students in need of psychological resources beyond those provided on campus. Consult with faculty, staff, administrators, and interdisciplinary teams regarding student mental health and wellness concerns. Provide supervision and training to psychologyinterns. Strictly adhere to the ethical principles of psychologistsas outlined by the American Psychological Association, and comply with California laws and regulations governing the practice of psychology.

Perform other duties and assume responsibilities as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
