Manager, Production Engineering Santa Ana

Overview

Iteris is a leader in smart mobility infrastructure, combining advanced sensors, connected vehicle technology, and AI-powered analytics to improve roadway safety and efficiency for public agencies and commercial partners. The company is seeking an experienced Manager, Production Engineering to lead the newly formed Production Engineering Group. The role involves leading production engineering, manufacturing engineering, and quality engineering efforts and works closely with manufacturing, materials, and development teams.

• Document process flows for all products
• Optimize process flows for all products
• Implement or enhance data collection systems
• Lead efforts to improve product quality
• Lead efforts for continued ISO‑9001 certification
• Interface with design engineering for New Product Introductions
• Interface with operations for NPI or other product line improvements
• Interface with vendors on various part or quality related issues
• Evaluate production and test issues to define root cause and implement corrective and preventive actions
• Occasional (10%) domestic travel to visit vendors

• Technical bachelor’s degree, EE or ME preferred
• Over five (5) years of experience in production engineering with a proven track record of reducing defects, resolving issues and improving production flow
• Over three (3) years in a supervisory, management, or leadership role
• Over five (5) years in lean tools (Lean Manufacturing, Kanban, Six‑sigma)
• Over five (5) years in ISO‑9001 or similar quality system
• Strong understanding of electro‑mechanical devices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with cross‑functional teams and be internal customer‑facing
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a data‑driven approach to decision‑making
• Experience using Oracle or Oracle Fusion preferred

Iteris anticipates paying a base salary between $140,300 and $156,200 for this role. Actual pay offered may be below or above these amounts, depending on the individual’s job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience.
