Santa Ana, CA 92705 (Hybrid Preferred | Open for Remote) Pay Rate: $40/hr - $44/hr on W2 Duration: 12+ months with potential extension
Schedule:
Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced OMS Systems Consultant/Engineer to provide subject matter expertise supporting an enterprise-wide Outage Management System (OMS) implementation. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with utility outage management applications, system integration, database administration, server support, and operational system maintenance within the electric utility industry.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as the SME for OMS implementation initiatives utilizing Open Grid Network (formerly PragmaUP/PragmaLINE).
- Support OMS-related projects, customer communications, and operational activities.
- Assist with OMS system logic, business processes, and data management.
- Participate in database and Windows Server OS upgrade activities.
- Perform OMS configuration, testing, validation, and deployment support.
- Evaluate hardware and software deliveries for installation into operational environments.
- Conduct system integration, verification, validation, and supportability analyses.
- Translate business and customer requirements into technical system solutions.
- Perform requirements analysis, interface definition, trade studies, and system documentation.
- Provide ongoing operational support, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 15+ years of experience in systems engineering, enterprise application support, or utility systems.
- Strong experience supporting Electrical Utility Outage Management Systems (OMS).
- Hands-on experience with Open Grid Network (PragmaUP/PragmaLINE).
- Strong SQL database administration and support experience.
- Experience with Python scripting and automation.
- Windows Server administration, maintenance, and operational support.
- Experience with system integration, testing, validation, and deployment activities.
- Ability to work independently and provide strategic technical recommendations.
- Master's Degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.
- PhD preferred.
- Experience with utility distribution and generation operations.
- Prior experience supporting large-scale OMS implementations and upgrades.
