Position: Project Geologist (PG)-Pay up to 150k at SST Direct Santa Ana, CA

Job Summary

We are seeking a mid-level CA Licensed Geologist for field and office work with a company providing a full range of environmental engineering, planning, compliance, consulting, and construction services. Pay: $100k to $150k depending on License/experience. Benefits:

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review high-quality technical reports, field documentation, and regulatory submittals with strong writing skills.
  • Conduct and oversee field investigations including subsurface exploration, groundwater monitoring, and site assessments.
  • Apply practical problem-solving to site conditions, data interpretation, and remediation approaches.
  • Work closely with senior staff and support junior team members in a collaborative, open-door environment.
  • Coordinate with clients and regulatory agencies in a straightforward, professional, and approachable manner.
  • Support project management tasks including scheduling, budgeting, and scope development under senior oversight.
Requirements
  • California Professional Geologist (PG) license — required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Geology or related field;
    Master’s preferred.
  • 4–8 years of environmental consulting experience.
  • Demonstrated strong technical writing ability — clear, accurate, and well-organized reports are central to this role.
  • Hands‑on experience with site investigations, groundwater monitoring, and/or remediation systems.
  • Familiarity with California environmental regulations and agency processes.
  • OSHA 40‑Hour HAZWOPER with current annual refresher.
  • Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record; must pass pre‑employment and annual drug/alcohol screening.
