Job SummaryThe Mechanical Engineer is responsible for researching, planning, designing, and developing mechanical products and systems for energy production, transmission, and measurement. This role requires early‑career professionals who apply broad theoretical knowledge and can investigate and analyze problems, working with senior engineers to verify solutions.
Responsibilities- Review project scope and specifications, and organize hand‑off meetings to ensure alignment.
- Design mechanical components, assemblies, and general arrangement drawings for sales orders using Autodesk Inventor.
- Create and manage submittal packages through customer approval, ensuring timely and accurate release.
- Update and maintain sales order workflows within Visual ERP.
- Review and verify mechanical drawings and bills of materials (BOMs) prepared by other team members for accuracy and compliance.
- Conduct mechanical specification reviews to support tendering activities as assigned.
- Provide mechanical engineering support to other departments and assist production and field service technicians during fabrication and installation.
- Participate in special projects and additional duties as assigned.
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with 2+ years of experience.
- Desired: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and project management professional certification (PMP) with 2+ years of experience.
- Required: CAD experience in 3D modeling and drafting; ERP system experience; proficiency with Excel, Outlook, web, and databases.
- Desired: Autodesk Inventor expertise; knowledge of ASME Y 14.5M 2018 standards.
- Accountable for the accuracy and on‑time delivery of submittal packages, fabrication drawings, and Visual BOM updates.
- Responsible for managing the customer submittal approval process and supporting operations.
