Aboutthe Role
Silex Technology America Inc., is seeking a highly motivated Field Application Engineer (FAE) to join our team in Santa Ana, California. In this customer-facing role, you will serve as a trusted technical advisor throughout the product evaluation, design, deployment, and support lifecycle. Working closely with Sales, Product Management, Engineering, Operations, and Certification teams, you'll help customers successfully integrate Silex wireless solutions while driving design wins and long‑term partnerships.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for customers during evaluation, design, and implementation phases.
- Support and drive customer design wins from initial engagement through production.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, wireless connectivity, and regulatory‑related issues.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Product Management to resolve technical challenges.
- Manage customer support activities, project status updates, and technical issues within Salesforce.
- Create RFQs for custom engineering services and certification support requirements.
- Deliver customer presentations and support account review meetings.
- Develop and improve technical documentation, application notes, quick‑start guides, and support materials.
- Stay current on emerging wireless technologies through ongoing learning and technical training.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in a technical engineering or Field Applications Engineering role.
- Experience working directly with customers in a technical support or applications environment.
- Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems and embedded drivers.
- Ability to write, modify, and debug C code.
- Experience troubleshooting hardware and software systems.
- Familiarity with wireless test methodologies and debugging tools such as Wireless sniffers, Oscilloscopes, Logic analyzers.
- Working knowledge of Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth, and other short‑range wireless technologies.
- Strong communication, presentation, and customer‑facing skills.

LocationThis position is based at our office in Santa Ana, California. Occasional travel may be required to support customer engagements, attend industry trade shows, participate in training activities, and collaborate with customers and partners as needed.
Compensation$100,000 – $140,000 annually plus comprehensive benefits. Salary and total compensation package are negotiable and commensurate with accomplishments, skill set and experience.
