Transportation Engineering Technician
Job Description and DutiesUnder the supervision of a Senior Transportation Engineer, the Transportation Engineering Technician performs a variety of field and laboratory duties in the Field Materials Testing Unit and Plant Inspection Unit. Responsibilities include material testing and analysis on soil, aggregate, asphalt and concrete samples to meet Caltrans specifications and contract requirements for highway construction projects.
