Our client, a leader in the electrical and aerospace manufacturing is looking for a lead manufacturing engineer for their Santa Ana location. Key qualifications include, 3-5 years of experience in designing and managing high mix-low volume assembly lines. A Bachelor's degree in engineering is required for this role.

- Assembly Line Launch & Optimization:
Lead the commissioning, scaling, and continuous improvement of Busway assembly operations using flexible cell designs, conveyance automation, and mixed-model shop floor management. - Lean & Material Flow Design:
Apply Lean principles (VSMs, Kaizens, standard work, one-piece flow) and design automated material handling solutions to establish efficient material flows and minimize bottlenecks. - Structured Problem Solving & Quality Control:
Facilitate DMAIC problem-solving and manage APQP deliverables-including PFMEAs, control plans, work instructions, process validations, and Engineering Change Notices (ECNs). - DFM & Production Readiness:
Review product designs for manufacturability, prepare capital equipment requests (CAPEX), train shop floor personnel, and ensure consistent process execution across lines. - Candidate Profile:
Requires a B.S. in Engineering with 3+ years in manufacturing; an M.S., high-mix/low-volume experience, APQP/PFMEA background, and discrete event simulation skills (e.g., ARENA) are preferred.
