About the roleOur Publicly-Traded Construction Client is seeking an analytical Senior Manager of FP&A to support financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting in the corporate office. This role works closely with various team members and executive leadership to conduct financial analysis and work on complex issues of analysis. Their ideal candidate must come from a large Construction/Engineering company ($700M or more in revenue).
Responsibilities- Lead the company’s annual budgeting cycle and rolling forecasts, partnering with department heads to develop accurate, data-driven financial plans that support strategic decision‑making.
- Build and maintain sophisticated financial models, including unit economics, scenario planning, sensitivity analyses, and long‑range forecasts to evaluate product performance and strategic initiatives.
- Partner with senior leadership to define and execute strategic plans and organizational objectives.
- Lead analysis of complex business issues requiring deep expertise in financial modeling and the construction industry.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally to deliver actionable financial insights that inform strategic decisions and support sustainable business growth.
- Align budget and project schedules with corporate strategy to support the success of functional, divisional, and enterprise‑wide operations.
- Oversee the development and preparation of the annual operating budget, quarterly forecasts, and long‑range financial plans.
- Design, maintain, and enhance sophisticated financial models to evaluate performance and support key business initiatives.
- Perform comprehensive financial analysis, including variance analysis, to clearly articulate the underlying drivers of financial results and trends.
- Drive continuous improvement of financial processes, reporting tools, and data integrity to increase efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
- Demonstrate strong analytical, problem‑solving, and quantitative capabilities with exceptional attention to detail.
- Communicate complex financial concepts effectively through clear written, verbal, and presentation skills for both financial and non‑financial stakeholders.
- Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or a related field required
- Experience with a Construction or Engineering Company is required ($700M revenue or more)
- Financial modeling experience is required.
- Public Accounting experience is highly desired.
