Tax Investigation Specialist

About the position

• Initiate outbound calls to the IRS to gather information about clients' tax concerns and issues.
• Compile and organize comprehensive reports detailing clients' tax problems and the necessary steps for resolution.
• Request and obtain necessary transcripts, documents, and information from the IRS on behalf of clients.
• Manage and prioritize tasks effectively, ensuring timely follow-ups and completion of assigned duties.

• Active PTIN and CAF numbers with the IRS are required.
• CTEC Certification preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience with a tax-related CRM.
• Possesses excellent computer (G Suite, Microsoft Office) skills.
• Time management – multi-tasker, able to manage large caseloads, prioritize cases, and follow up with Tax Professionals, Sales, and Clients in a timely manner.
• Ability to remain focused and productive within a fast-paced environment while maintaining a strong work ethic.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing processes.
