Position: Peer Mentor II - Track 1

Overview

Clarvida is seeking an innovative and purpose driven individual to join our team as a Peer Mentor II Track One at our Santa Ana location. The Peer Mentor Program is a specialized peer‑run recovery oriented program that assists consumers with mental health conditions to pursue mental health recovery goals. Peer Mentors work alongside consumers to enhance their recovery by focusing on client strengths, modeling recovery practices, and empowering consumers to eliminate the stigma of mental illness.

Summary: Peers are individuals who have previously been mental health consumers, who have participated in their own recovery, or have lived experience by living with a loved one who is a mental health consumer. Peers represent multiple intersections of cultures including but not limited to race, ethnicity, gender identity and expression, age, education, spiritual beliefs, and sexual orientation. Peers have their own unique recovery or lived experience story, and appropriately share it with clients to promote consumer mental health recovery and reduce stigma.

Peers instill hope by showing clients that recovery is possible and providing authentic empathy through those common experiences. Peers provide highly individualized services in the community and promote consumer self‑determination and decision‑making.
