As an HR Generalist
, you will play a critical role in delivering thoughtful, compliant, and employee-focused human resources support across a multi-site organization. This role manages day-to-day HR operations, employee relations, compliance, and process improvement while serving as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees. The HR Generalist partners closely with leadership to ensure consistent HR practices, informed decision-making, and a positive employee experience.

This is a direct-hire, onsite position.

Core Responsibilities Employee Relations & HR Support
  • Serve as a primary HR point of contact for employees and leaders, providing responsive, high-touch support.
  • Maintain a regular onsite presence across multiple locations to build trust, understand workforce needs, and proactively address concerns.
  • Respond to employee inquiries related to policies, procedures, benefits, and HR processes with professionalism, discretion, and empathy.
  • Support employee benefits administration, including enrollments, life-event changes, annual open enrollment, and issue resolution.
  • Maintain accurate benefits records and collaborate with vendors to resolve eligibility, billing, or coverage concerns.
Investigations & Corrective Action
  • Conduct or support employee relations investigations, including interviews, fact-finding, documentation, and recommendations.
  • Support progressive discipline and corrective action processes, ensuring consistency and compliance.
  • Partner with leadership on investigation outcomes and next steps.
  • Maintain confidential investigative files in accordance with legal and organizational requirements.
Onboarding, Orientation & Offboarding
  • Manage end-to-end onboarding, including offer documentation, background checks, employment verification, HRIS setup, and benefits enrollment.
  • Facilitate new-hire orientation sessions covering policies, culture, and benefits.
  • Partner with leaders to ensure a smooth and consistent Day One experience.
  • Manage offboarding processes, including exit interviews, separation documentation, final pay coordination, and system access removal.
HR Operations, Data & Compliance
  • Maintain accurate employee records within the HRIS, including hires, transfers, job changes, and terminations.
  • Support HR reporting, dashboards, and data analysis to inform leadership decisions and identify trends.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and internal policies.
  • Conduct regular personnel file audits and maintain required postings and documentation.
  • Coordinate and administer leaves of absence, including required notices, tracking, and return-to-work processes.
  • Support workers’ compensation claims and collaborate with carriers and leadership as needed.
  • Assist with ADA interactive processes, documentation, and reasonable accommodations.
Training, Development & Culture Support
  • Coach leaders on HR fundamentals such as documentation, attendance management, performance expectations, and effective communication.
  • Support the development and delivery of HR trainings related to policies, professionalism, compliance, and people practices.
  • Conduct listening sessions, pulse surveys, and engagement check-ins to assess morale and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Partner with leadership on recognition, communication, and culture-building initiatives.
Other Duties
  • Participate in cross-functional projects, audits, process improvements, and policy implementation as assigned.
What We’re Looking For
  • 3–5 years of progressive Human Resources experience, ideally supporting multi-site or mission-driven organizations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • HR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR, or similar) preferred.
  • Working knowledge of employment laws, employee relations, leaves of absence, and HR compliance.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
  • Comfort working onsite and traveling between locations as needed.
  • High emotional intelligence and a people-first approach to HR support.

Compensation

Compensation: $65,000-$75,000 per year
